Hello For employment prospects related to these subjects, check out the Prospects graduate employment website: www.prospects.ac.uk you’ll see links to chemistry and to biochemistry.

these links, there’s information under various headings, including job options, career areas, skills and case studies for example. In addition, check out the websites for The Royal Society of Chemistry at www.rsc.org and The Association for Clinical Biochemistry (ACB) at www.acb.org.uk both professional bodies are involved in practice and promotion of these areas of science and have links to information on related career opportunities. In addition, the careers service at any university offering degrees in these subjects will have information regarding outcomes for previous graduates, so do contact them to find out more. As I’m not clear if you are about to choose a course or are nearing completion, I’ll add some information regarding course choice. To find out what chemistry and biochemistry courses are available, go to ucas.com on the UCAS website and then select your choices either as a single or combined course from the A Z list.

may also want to look at information on supported open learning with The Open University at www.open.ac.uk (details about courses, funding, etc) and www3.open.ac.uk (science courses). www3.open.ac.uk is useful for information about professional recognition of OU qualifications by various professional bodies. Incidentally, you can apply to the OU alongside UCAS, effectively widening your course choice.

you begin your employment search, you may find it useful to have a look at the following site for information on Applications, CVs and interviews: www.prospects.ac.uk Allow some time for this research as you may find other links that you’ll want to follow up.

luck with your future study and career!
