We still need surgeons. No matter what technology, a robot can't change its movement rate according to the sudden changes a human will make.

We will need doctors and surgeons for a LONG long time.
cannot react to situations the way humans can, and I think it is going to be hundreds of years before robots can fully take over. If you decide to be a doctor or surgeons, you can't go wrong.
you work hard to get there, you are set for life. Doctors are always in demand, and as you probably know, the pay is fantastic. Nothing to worry about.
