You need to become a dentist first and then specialize in orthodontic.

can never start a direct orthodontic education unless you are a dentist! Orthodontic is a speciality in dentistry and not a seperate education program. It is like asking what programs/classes I need to become a heart surgeon! Additional respond: obviously orthodontic is a popular speciality! After finishing dental school, they will require a few years experience before accepting you as a "orthodontic post graduated student". You have to show that you are very interested and addicted to be an orthodontist
