I'm really stuck on this algebra maths problem and I was wondering if someone could show me how to do it.
problem is below: A particular brand of shadecloth is made from threads of nylon woven together to form a rectangular mesh as attached in the diagram below. www.flickr.com The vertical strips are width v mm, while the horizontal strips are width h mm.
gap between the vertical strips is x mm, while the gap between the horizontal strips is y mm.
rectangular gap between the vertical and horizontal strips allows light to pass through.
'grade' of shadecloth is the percentage of sunlight that is blocked.
example, 80% shadecloth blocks 80% of sunlight and allows 20% to pass through. By considering the dimensions x,y,v h in the diagram, answer the following: a)Generalise the relations between the variables x y for shadecloth of grade G%. b)Hence, suppose the shadecloth is to be manufactured from strands with v=2 and h=3. Find the relationship between x y in order to produce 60% grade cloth and then 90% grade cloth.

Hi! :) I'm in a competition to stay in the modeling buisness.
you please do me a HUGE favor and go here onlinemodelworld.com and vote? i need at least 500 and your vote would help alot!! and yes, you have to do a little math problem, because they want to make sure you aren't spam. if you can't figure out the answer, use your calculator. it's only a 5th grade math problem.
tell your friends to do the same! Thank you!! xoxoxo

Hi, i keep having people tell me that visual arts is a low scaling subject and that it won't be good in terms of atar. I'm not the best artist out there; i'm not the best at drawing or painting but i consider myself to be creative. Is it a good idea for me to pick visual arts even though i'm not good at drawing or painting? I do like art very much and i did come first in the overall grade but on hsc level, i'm not so confident because there are people out there that can draw so well!! Anyways; here are my subjects i'm choosing and i'm wondering if its possible to get an atar of 90+ with them: 1. General maths 2. advance english 3.
history 4. geography 5. economics Do language subjects scale well?

I am a 21 year old guy and i would like to go to university to study for a degree, but i am not sure what type of degree i want to study or what i want to do as a career when i'm older.
i have another problem which could make it kind of hard for me if i was to go university. I am basically really bad at maths, i think i may even have mathematical dyslexia.i'm not sure. Because of these two issue's i'm not sure what i can study at university and because i have already studied at college (UK) i cannot go onto an access course without having to pay, but i have realised that what i studied in college was not what i want to have a career in. At college i studied BTEC National Diploma in Sport Science, which is equivalent to 3 A level's. The problem now, after a year of leaving college i have come to realise that i don't want to pursue a career in Sports, so now i'm stuck in a massive rut and don't know what to do.
helpful advice would be great, thanks.
